TEN LONG YEARS

He wrote in it: "To Nat Marley, With all my thanks - the guy who bought me a very important beer."( p32)

     I read this book, TEN LONG YEARS. This book is a mystery and miserable. The main characters are Nat Marley, a NY private officer, and Jorge Hernandez, Nat's client. Jorge was in jail for ten years because he sold some drugs with members of his group. However, when he was arrested, he didn't say about his group to protect it. After he got out of jail, he tried to meet his group members, but he couldn't. So he applied for searching for them to Nat. As a result, Nat found out that two members of his group were dead six years ago and one person from his group was living. The man, Mike, was selling some drugs then. Jorge went to see Mike, but he couldn't meet him because Mike used Jorge's much money to make big money.
    After I read this book, I noticed Sing Sing, the jail's name. When  I watched a film, "Breakfast at Tiffany's",  Sing Sing appeared. Sing Sing is famous as jail, I thought. This story's end is so strange, but you'll like it.  Please read it.

Next Door to Love

" Some of me dies when Daisy's away from me," he said. (p12)

" I can understand computers," Tony told me. " I know what they're going to do. But I don't always understand people." I thought about James and all his girlfriends. " No, we don't always know what people are going to do, I said. (p13)

   

      I read this book, "Next Door to Love." This book is a love story, as you know from the title of this book. The main characters are Stella, a cook in a restaurant, and Tony, Stella's neighbor, and Janet, Stella's friend. Stella had her boyfriend, James, but their relationship was broken because James had a lot of girlfriends. Therefore, Stella didn't want to have a boyfriend. Her friend, Janet, wanted her to have a boyfriend so she persuaded Stella to go out and meet someone new. While they were talking about like that above in Stella's house, They noticed a nice neighbor guy, Tony outside the window. And then...
     From the first quotation above, if a person who is very close to me is away from me, I will feel so sad and some of me would be lacked, I think. After I read this book, I'll cherish my important people. Also, as the second citation is described,  we couldn't make sense of what people think. In the case of computers,  we can see the complex contents of computers when we dismantle, but in the case of human beings, we couldn't understand all about them, however hard we struggle. Since it is hard to know what people are going to do, we should choose better options for us, not others when we have to decide our future, I believe.
     It has been a long time since I read a love story in English. Recently, I've read many books about a mystery. Therefore, I enjoyed reading this book. However, in my opinion, I dislike Tony because his humanity is disgusting to me but the story itself is very good so I recommend it to you. Please read it!!

Inspector Logan

It was a cold Monday afternoon in April and it was her first day in her new job. She was an inspector in the Edinburgh - a new job in a new city. ( p6)

She thought it was unusual that Grant did not call her "madam". Sergeants usually call inspectors "sir" or "madam". Was it her age? He must be about fifty-five and she was only twenty-six. Or maybe he just didn't like new inspectors. Anyway, she thought, right now it wasn't important. (p8)

     I read the book "Inspector Logan". This story is a mystery. The main characters are Jenny Logan, a police officer and heroin, Sergeant Grant, an officer helping Inspector Logan. They struggle to solve a murder case together. And then we can see those conversations cited above. Maybe I think, because Logan is a new inspector, Grant was checking whether she can work on her job or then. Logan still can't solve one case so he still call her madam. And Logan would understand his idea. One of the points of the story is how Logan grew up as an inspector and how Grant evaluate her, I think. This book is not just a mysterious story. So if you are bored with basic mystery content, I strongly recommend this book. Please read it!!

Bad Love

 I read "Bad Love". The main character is Flick Lain , a detective in the Denver Police Department. A friend of hers is Judy Kaplan ,a doctor at the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver. Her co-worker is Jack Daly , a doctor at Judy's hospital. This story is Love and Mystery.
 After finishing the book, as the quotation above said, I thought our emotions are so good one minute and the next minute they will be not. That is to speak, Such relationships with people are always changing but the world we live in don't change ironically. The world is keeping beautiful and innocent malice. If you want to know how cruel natural low is, please read it.

Hotel Casanova

 I read "Hotel Casanova". Dino, Carla and Maria are the main characters. The story of it is that , for Dino to follow his plan, he faces a bad problem by a relationship with Carla and one with Maria.

 After finished this book, I thought we have to carefully look at and think a situation which abruptly come to us. If it is so good, we should put for an action. If it is not, we have to avoid it. However, we often choose a wrong answer and even if we notice it's so bad , we may fail to avoid it. Then we should try to take measures against bad situations, not giving up. That is so important, I thought from this book. If you get interested i n this book, plz read it.
